VIETNAM WAR
VIETNAM WAR.
Vietnam war is also known as the Resistance War Against America, was a conflict in Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam, from 1955 to 1975. It was officially fought between North and South Vietnam, divided in the communist side and anti-communist side. It was originated because of the determination of the communist guerrillas (called Vietcong) of South Vietnam about the overthrow of South Vietnam's Government.
The confrontation led to a war between the two countries that soon became an international conflict when the United States and 40 other countries supported South Vietnam, while the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) and the People's Republic of China supplied ammunition to North Vietnam and the Vietcong.
